Dynamics of Living Matter

We develop new engineering methods to probe and understand diseases. Our current interests include: the mechanics of cancer growth and invasion, birth defects in the developing embryo, or diseases that alter blood flow.

Our expertise combines both experimental (microfluidics, rheometry, force sensing) and theoretical (statistical and soft matter physics, materials science) approaches, to uncover the role of physical forces and flows in these processes.
